Alejandro A. Tawil
Co-Founder & Chairman
Alejandro A. Tawil brings over 40 years of experience in global financial markets, including more than a decade focused on private equity and blended finance in Africa. He is the Chairman and Co-Founding Partner of ThirdWay Partners, where he leads senior-level institutional engagement with development finance institutions, corporate clients, governments, and global investors.
He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Machangulo S.A., a private nature reserve in southern Mozambique.
Prior to his current role, Mr Tawil was the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of The Confidas Group, a multi-family office managing over $1 billion on behalf of ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director and Partner at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in New York, where he led the firm’s Latin America division. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President at Prudential Securities, heading its Latin America Business Group.
Mr. Tawil is an active conservationist with a longstanding involvement in wildlife preservation initiatives in Africa. He is also an amateur wildlife photographer.
