Angie Figueroa-Alcorta

Angie Figueroa-Alcorta has over 20 years of experience across international relations, public policy, and higher education, with a focus on building cross-sector collaborations at the intersection of government, academia, and industry.
She brings a strong background in security and defense, shaped by multiple roles within Argentina’s intelligence community under the Presidential Office, including serving as Senior Advisor to the Director General.
Beyond her advisory responsibilities, she led key functional areas within the agency, contributing to high-level policy analysis and strategic decision-making on national security matters. This experience strengthened her expertise in geopolitical analysis and strategic risk, and provided direct exposure to complex security challenges at the highest levels of government.
Her career also includes leadership roles in academic institutions in the US, Spain, Mexico, and Argentina, where she designed and led undergraduate and graduate programs, while developing international initiatives and partnerships that strengthened ties between Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
She holds a Master’s in International Relations from IE University (Spain) and a Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University (US).
