Director: Corporate Finance
We are currently seeking the expertise of high-caliber Corporate Finance professional to join our Advisory practice as a Director. As a Director of the firm, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of a portfolio of the Firm’s advisory mandates, more specifically with a focus on Corporate Finance, primarily in Africa and Latin America. The director would play a crucial role in strategically building out our Corporate Finance practice.
Location: Agnostic: with a willingness to travel to European Offices in London and Madrid bi-annually
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the execution of Corporate Finance transactions globally, including project management of client deliverables, investor outreach and coordinate investor due diligence with internal and/or external legal counsel
Explaining benefits of the third way of investing to attract new corporate finance clients, focusing on ESG strategic thinking, and leveraging impact-related themes to support the client’s broader sustainability strategy and unlock value in the transaction by attracting impact-focused stakeholders
Undertake strategic thinking and analytics of Corporate Finance transactions globally, for the context of mandate execution as well as long-term Business Development considerations for the firm
Oversee the team’s efforts to analyse the financial position of clients considering their circumstances, prepare reports of findings in relation to alternative ways of transacting and operating and provide advice on the terms and conditions options adequate for specific corporate finance transactions
Oversee the team’s efforts to undertake sector and region-specific research and analysis regarding socio-economic environments and relevant financial products, legislation, and regulatory requirements
Develop junior team members through their professional development processes offering consistent feedback and training with a human capital development mindset in team management
Lead the development of complex financial models to support mandates
Requirements:
Postgraduate degree from a reputable institution in the field of business, finance, economics, or related field, with strong academic credentials
Minimum of 5 years at top tier investment bank/private equity or in combination with a top-tier consulting firm
Significant project management experience
Strong hypothesis-driven problem-solving, work planning, and project management skillsets
Strong quantitative and analytical competency with experience developing financial models, leading deal or vehicle structuring, and delivering client-facing materials and analysis
Excellent people management skills
Committed to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
Ability to communicate fluently in oral and written English (required) and Portuguese or Spanish (a plus)
